2-day-old Newborn Keara – Sweet with a touch of Wild

Newborn Photography – Surrey BC

On Thursday night, Keara was brought into the world in a wonderful homebirth to M (whose maternity photos I shot a couple weeks ago).  A few hours after her birth, M and I got on the phone and it was the best conversation I have had in a long time.  I’m telling you, nothing beats a mother who has just given birth and is gushing with post-labour euphoria!

Two days later, the P family arrives on my doorstep, with little Keara ready for her very first professional photography session.  I have to say, I’m feeling pretty lucky to be the photographer chosen for this.  She slept like an angel through the whole session, and I got some fabulous shots.  I just know mom & dad are going to be thrilled with this collection of photos.  In the meantime, I’d like to share with you a couple of my favorites, because I know M is going crazy waiting to see them;)

How could anyone resist these perfect little fingers?

This beautiful knit blanket was made by Keara’s Great Grandmother.  I love timeless pieces like this!

All curled up, so precious and sweet…

…but hey, we all have a little bit of a wild side too!

Congratulations P family!  Best wishes on your new adventure as a family of 4!
